Cynthia Ray is a board certified family nurse practitioner with over 15 years of experience in healthcare. Cynthia received her bachelor’s in nursing from University of Memphis and her master’s in nursing from Indiana University - Purdue University. In Fall 2018, she will pursue her Doctorate of Nursing Practice at the University of Maryland, Baltimore. Cynthia is a proud member of the national nurse practitioner organization, the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP).
Cynthia joined CVS Health MinuteClinic in 2013, was promoted to clinic resource provider in 2015, and currently serves as a lead provider to her region. Her clinic is located in the Prince George’s County community of Langley Park, home to nearly 20,000 residents, most of whom have immigrated from Central America and do not have adequate health insurance. Professionally, Cynthia’s interests are rooted in providing high-quality, cost-effective access to healthcare to the community she serves. She is committed to the mentorship of fellow nurse practitioners and colleagues with supporting publications in the Journal of Obstetric, Gynecologic, & Neonatal Nursing (JOGNN).
Additionally, Cynthia is an active member of the First Aid Unit at Reid Temple AME Church and serves as a parent ambassador at Reid Temple Christian Academy. Cynthia is originally from Murfreesboro, TN and is married to Dr. Rashawn Ray. They have two children, RJ and Jeremiah.
