Patrick Gallaher is a community advocate in Riverdale fighting to make health care more accessible to disadvantaged communities.
As a private citizen he works closely with elected officials from Prince George’s County as well as Progressive Maryland to develop policy, drawing on his experience working in the Maryland State Senate as well as work in the private sector analyzing health policy. He is also a candidate for the Prince George’s County Democratic Central Committee, where he will work to bring accountability and transparency to the committee.
He first became involved in advocating for Prince George’s County as a Legislative Aide for Senator Victor Ramirez, where he fought to increase protections for victims of violent crimes as well as for workers in dangerous industries.
He also was the Treasurer for the Prince George’s County Young Democrats from 2012 through 2013. He helped overhaul the finances for the organization, managing to cut spending without hurting effectiveness while raising the most money in the organization’s history.
