Joshua D. Dixon is a native of Orlando, FL and currently works as a Business Finance Manager within the Department of Defense (DOD) Navy’s VA Class Submarine Program. In this role, he provides business and financial management support in cost estimation, preparation and justification in DOD planning, programming, budgeting and execution.
Over the past 9 years, Joshua has taken pride in community youth outreach by serving as Co- Chairman and Mentor of the Manhood Rites of Passage (MROP) Mentoring ministry at Ebenezer AME. In this role he oversees the planning and operation of all activities for the MROP ministry along with the Co-Chairman of Mentee Empowerment. This 18-week Saturday program prepares African-American young men ages 11-16 for the responsibility of adulthood and intends to enhance the self-respect, self-confidence and leadership qualities of the young men who participate fully. In addition, provide intensive training in areas of team building, public speaking, and conflict management.
He is an active member of the OLA Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. where he served as Chapter Treasurer and current Chapter Financial Secretary.
Joshua received his undergraduate degree in Business Administration from Florida A&M University in 2004. After 10 plus years of work experience, he recently decided to pursue a Masters of Public Administration with concentration in Public Financial Management at American University, maintaining a 3.7 GPA. Joshua is a proud public servant, and who believes in the impact positive role models play in the lives of our youth.
