Jocelyn Collins

At only 24, Jocelyn is a rising public servant. She currently serves as Legislative Director/Chief of Staff for MD State Delegate Elizabeth “Susie” Proctor (D-27A)—a first- term legislator on the MD House Judiciary Committee, representing District 27A, a large, diverse district located in two counties: Charles and Prince George’s. She also serves as an Adjunct Professor of Government at Bowie State University.  

Jocelyn has also worked for other leading Maryland political leaders and some of the nation’s top Democrats, in both legislative and communications capacities—U.S. Senator Benjamin “Ben” Cardin (D-MD), former Democratic National Committee (DNC)Secretary and Mayor of Baltimore Stephanie Rawlings-Blake, and MD State Senator Katherine “Kathy” Klausmeier (D-8).

In 2016, she was heavily involved with the last US Presidential election cycle—working under the leadership of former DNC Secretary, Stephanie Rawlings-Blake in the Office of the Secretary at the DNC Headquarters in Washington, D.C.

 In September 2017, she was appointed to the Prince George’s County Democratic Central Committee as the Central Committeewoman for MD District 23B— as a result of her commitment and service to the Democratic Party and the Prince George’s County community. Jocelyn proactively works to ensure the election of Democrats to public office, and works to make the world a better place daily. She hopes to reform the criminal justice system.

Jocelyn attained her Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and International Studies from McDaniel College in Westminster, MD. She is a proud member of the illustrious, Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.
