Ciara Robinson, MPP, is a nonprofit executive with nearly eleven years of experience in leading community-based interventions, developing public-private partnerships, advocacy, and building organizational capacity.
Ciara, the daughter of a single, teenage mother, has a passion for at-risk youth and legislative matters regarding underrepresented populations. She has worked with urban and rural communities in Maryland as the Head Youth Director and Holy Bible Christian Ministries, Inc., with a focus on education and empowering youth through political and social activism.
As president of the D.L. Wells Whole Man Foundation Inc., Ciara has worked hard to build the organization’s capacity to serve the public through career training and job placement, mentoring for life skills, education assistance, and affordable housing. Ciara is a current member of the Business and Professional Women of Maryland-Southern Prince George’s County branch and focuses on working with public officials to implement policy and ensure that girls and women are prepared to lead in the political arena. The Emerge Maryland 2017 student hopes to promote and ascertain the knowledge necessary for running a successful campaign.
Ciara’s passion for legislative matters, the work of nonprofits, and the disenfranchised is the driver of her success. Ciara currently works as an AMVETS Career Manager in Lanham, MD, where she assists US veterans nationwide with job placement, career transition, and other integrative services.
Ciara holds a Master in Public Policy with a concentration in Campaigns and Elections from Liberty University and an undergraduate degree in Political Science from the University of the District of Columbia.
