JaNay Nazaire, for more than fifteen years, has dedicated her life to being a public servant and an educator. She works tirelessly on behalf of others in both her personal and professional life and has held several key positions that demonstrate her commitment to fostering a just and equitable society. In her work, she facilitates, supports, and leads innovative and promising approaches to improve conditions for children, families, adults, and communities. Nazaire’s success derives from harnessing the power of collective impact, employing a results-driven approach, and focusing largely on low-income people and people of color. Therefore, she is able to give community members more than hope for their lives—she is able to give them results.
Currently, Nazaire is the associate director of Collective Impact for Living Cities, a collaborative of twenty-two of the world’s largest foundations and financial institutions that support bold and promising approaches to build a new urban practice that gets dramatically better results for low-income people, faster. Prior to Living Cities, she was a senior consultant at Results Leadership Group, LLC, where she provided strategic consultation, facilitation, and training to public and nonprofit leaders employing collaborative strategies to affect positive community change.
In her spare time, she serves on three nonprofit boards, manages a consulting group and travels the world with her husband, family, and friends. Her goal is to establish a legacy on which both her future children and others can thrive.
