Kimberly Williams is an event planning and public relations (PR) professional helping brands and small businesses develop strong relationships with the public by designing creative PR strategies. She is the owner of By Invitation Only (BIO) Events and Public Relations. Williams has worked with clients on projects and events throughout the metropolitan DC area and successfully garnered media placements for clients in print, thumb web, and radio.
Williams has worked on several events featuring national recording artists, including radio and television personalities. She is a partner in TOAST Brunch, a reoccurring brunch and networking event, and served as a lead coordinator for the Taste Prince George’s Food and Wine Festival. Additionally, she has worked with local event promoters at venues, such as the Howard Theatre. She has also worked with nonprofits on fundraisers and charity events.
Williams is an active member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated, a national sisterhood of more than 200,000 college-educated, predominantly African-American, women dedicated to public service. She is also a member of the Sports, Hospitality, and Entertainment (S.H.E.) Committee of the Prince George’s County Chamber of Commerce and ColorComm.
After graduating from Largo High School, Williams attended Hood College in Frederick, receiving an undergraduate degree in political science. She went on to pursue two graduate degrees: a master of science degree in human resources and master of business administration degree from the University of Maryland University College.
