Dr. Douglas L. Sims Jr.
Dr. Douglas L. Sims Jr. is a Philadelphia native who has lived in the Washington DC metropolitan area for 12 years. He has worked in private practice as a chiropractic doctor for 8 years in Hyattsville, MD. Dr. Sims is an advocate for natural healthcare and better living in Prince George’s county and the surrounding area. As part of his commitment to advancing naturally active pain-free living to his patients, Dr. Sims often speaks about healthier living at small businesses, churches, recreational facilities, and the EPA and other governmental agencies. Dr. Sims treats a variety of neuro-musculoskeletal conditions through chiropractic and physical therapy ranging from muscle strains, arthritis, neck, back, knee and shoulder pain to serious injuries as a result of auto injuries or personal injuries.
In addition to his health advocacy, Dr. Sims is also committed to participating in the advancement of education and exposure to the youth in his community. Sims Chiropractic Center is a small-business partner with Adelphi Elementary School, a title I school located in Adelphi, MD. He is a mentor to the youth and participates in numerous “Career days” in Prince George’s County public schools. Dr. Sims received his Bachelor of Science degree from Hampton University and his doctorate degree from Life University School of Chiropractic in 2001.
