Tomika M. Holmes


Tomika M. Holmes began her law enforcement career with the Metro Transit Police in 2001. She has worked in a variety of assignments that include being the first female in the warrant and fugitive apprehension unit. Tomika was ranked #1 on her promotional process to Sergeant in 2008 where she then served as the special assistant to the Chief of Police. In 2010, Tomika was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant and now serves in the Training Academy where she oversees the instruction of recruit officers in the nation’s only tri-jurisdictional police department. Tomika is proud to have served with CASA, Prince George’s County, as a child advocate since 2008. She has served Christ in several areas: security for the National Baptist Convention, church nursery volunteer, and was the first member of the young adult ministry. Tomika is a senior at The George Washington University and is a member of GW’s collegiate scholars and the International Association of Women Police
