Tameka Paschal is an educator, mentor, and coach. She received her B.S. in Education (Mathematics) at North Carolina A&T State University and her M.S. in Secondary Education at Bowie State University. She has taught mathematics and coached in Prince George’s for seventeen years and is currently the department chairperson at Northwestern High in Adelphi. A multiple Who’s Who Among America’s Teachers honoree, Ms. Paschal has written curriculum and created lessons that are used in the county’s high schools and also published several lessons for National Security Agency. Ms. Paschal is an innovator – co-chartering the ‘Mentor-for-Life’ program for young girls at her former school and chartered/ co-sponsors a chapter of Mu Alpha Theta (Math Honor Society) at Northwestern (one of only two chapters in the county). Tameka has coached basketball; soccer; softball; and football and was ‘Coach of the Year’ at Northwestern in 2007. She is currently working on her National Board Certification for Teachers.
