Dolores Dorsainvil is a Senior Staff Attorney with the D.C. Office of Bar Counsel where she prosecutes attorneys for ethical misconduct. Dolores is most passionate about serving the legal community while promoting professionalism and the integrity of the profession. She spends countless hours educating attorneys and lecturing on ethical matters. Dolores is a member of the Maryland Bar Foundation, has been appointed to the Professionalism Committee and Ethics Committee of the Maryland State Bar Association, teaches the mandatory Professionalism Course for new admittees of the Maryland and District of Columbia Bars, is an Adjunct Professor at American University’s law school, published national articles on ethical considerations, and has her own ethics blog. Despite all the work listed above, Dolores still finds the time to mentor law students, serve in leadership roles within local and national bar associations, and, through her family’s foundation, Dorsainvil Foundation Inc., Dolores has raised money and collected much needed medical supplies for her mission trips to Haiti, her family’s homeland. She has recently won the 2011 Finalist for the American Bar Association’s Young Lawyers Division National Outstanding Young Lawyer of the Year Award.
