Sharnae L. Smith


Sharnae Smith is the owner of Smith Ventures, LLC., the parent company of her personal brand “Sharnae Smith”, where she concentrates in the areas of business consulting, speaking, and estate planning education. Recently, she self-published her first book Mogul Moves: Practical Tips for Mastering Entrepreneurship which attained best-seller status on Amazon in January of 2019.

Sharnae is currently a fellow in the Maryland State Bar Association’s Leadership Academy where she, along with her co-fellows, are developing and will execute an in-courthouse training in Frederick County on identifying and addressing mental health challenges in the courtroom.

Sharnae has served as a speaker for the Chi Eta Phi sorority for their estate planning series, a panelist for the Montgomery County Democrats for their panel on Sexual Harassment in the workplace, a speaker for the Prince George’s County Keys Program on entrepreneurship, and more. Sharnae has also served as a leader of the student ministry at i5 City Church.

Sharnae is a graduate of Largo High School. She earned her Bachelor of Art degree in Political Science at The George Washington University. She earned her Juris Doctor degree from Campbell University School of Law. After law school, she became licensed to practice law in the state of Maryland, District of Columbia, and the United States District Court of Maryland. She became a solo practitioner where she operated a general practice concentrating in the areas of bankruptcy, family law, business, and estate planning and is currently an employee of the Federal Government.
