Jamar owns and operates Diversified Law Group, LLC, a law firm that concentrates in the areas of corporate transactions, estates and trusts, and real estate. Recently, he has advised on several business acquisitions including the sale of a tax and accounting practice, the purchase of an insurance company, and the purchase of a barbecue franchise currently operating in Prince George's County.
Jamar currently serves as General Counsel of the 100 Black Men of Prince George's County, Inc. Jamar has also served as Vice President of Operations of the 100 Black Men of Prince George's County, Inc. In 2016, he was instrumental in obtaining a grant from Wells Fargo to operate "Pathways to Success", which ran along with "Silicon100", a high school technology program.
Jamar has served on the Finance Board and the Entrepreneurship Leadership Academy at Zion Church. Jamar also serves on the board of Unshackled Ministries, Inc., a nonprofit organization that provides resources to returning citizens in Prince George's County.
Jamar is a graduate of Suitland High School. He earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Information Sciences and Systems from Morgan State University. After graduating, he worked as an Information Technology Specialist at the International Business Machines Corporation (IBM). Later, he earned his Juris Doctor degree from North Carolina Central University School of Law. After law school, he was the law clerk to The Honorable Deborah A. Robinson, United States District Court for the District of Columbia. Jamar is a member of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc.
